H&M dress, Target bag, Old Navy belt, Nine West sandals

For a hot day of driving around the city running errands, I wanted something comfortable, fuss-free and light. I have grown quite fond of this H&M dress because it possesses all of those qualities. I had originally bought it to wear to the office with a sharp blazer. Its versatility for dressing up or down with the right accessories has made it one of my wardrobe staples now.

Because the dress is so plain, I used accessories to make the outfit pop. I swapped out the grey fabric tie that came with the dress for a gold belt for some visual interest. My favorite owl necklace, a street find from India, is another wardrobe staple that goes with practically everything, unlike this attention-hungry shopper bag that needs a neutral backdrop. Altogether, this outfit could easily be my summer uniform.
